Monte Degli Aromi, literally translated as the Hill of Fragrances, is a family run Farm with a hill-top setting and panoramic views, surrounded by woods and numerous hectares of terrain wholly dedicated to the growth of cereals, orchards and olive trees.
The Farm lies in close proximity of the "Covoli dell'Eremo di San Donato - wells belonging to the hermitage of the saint known as San Donato" and of the homonymous tiny church just beside it, both witnesses to the presence in the area of an ancient monastery with documentation running back to 1243.
The wells have maintained their authentic simplicity, offering still today traces of old walls belonging to the original main structure that was the convent. |
